Greetings Kathy!
A very warm welcome to planDisney! Thanks for dropping by with such excellent questions!
A little bit of magic returned to the Disneyland Resort with the re-opening of the Downtown Disney District last July! And with
Buena Vista Street recently opening as an extension of the Downtown Disney District you can now enjoy even more Disney shopping and dining experiences! And, the good news is you don’t need a ticket or reservation to enjoy the additional experiences. However, entry into the Downtown Disney District and Buena Vista Street may be paused at times in order to limit capacity, and promote physical distancing. Entry will resume as soon as capacity permits.
I can confirm that Guests are able to enter the
Downtown Disney District from either the West Entrance near the
Disneyland Hotel or the East Entrance off of Harbor Blvd. If you’re staying at the SpringHill Suites at Anaheim Convention Center, Harbor Blvd is the closest entrance for you. If you’re staying at SpringHill Suites Anaheim Maingate, then the Disneyland Drive entrance would be closer.
If you have not visited the Downtown Disney District since the re-opening, I encourage you to check out the
website before your visit. There, you’ll find a list of all open locations and have a chance to review all the new guidelines. Lastly, I’m sorry to report that while the Disneyland Resort theme parks remain closed, there are currently no fireworks.
I hope this answers all your questions! Please head back to planDisney if you think of any more!
