Hi there, Jadon,
Thank you so much for visiting us here at planDisney with your question. While it is best to stay informed on the current wildfires facing Southern California, it has not yet affected operations at the
Disneyland Resort. This continues to be an ever-evolving and unpredictable situation, so I highly recommend staying up-to-date with the local news and weather for reports on conditions and air quality as they continue to change day-by-day. As a former Angeleno, my heart goes out to our friends and neighbors experiencing tremendous loss during this time.
In terms of operations at the parks, I would continue to check the
Parks Hours & Events Calendar, follow along with the
Disneyland Instagram account, and log into the
Disneyland Mobile App for any news and alerts. You will want to ensure you have "notifications" turned on for the app as well as sometimes that is how the parks will communicate unexpected changes to operating hours. You could even give
Guest Services a call the morning of your visit to ensure everything is up and running.
You can stay in the know on ride closures by popping into the app and navigating to the "three lines" icon in the bottom right-hand corner. Select "Park Hours & Info", the date you are visiting, and scroll down to the "Closed for Refurbishment" section.
I sure hope you are able to make your way to the magic, Jadon! If you are heading to California Adventure, you will want to make the most of the
Lunar New Year Celebration, honoring wishes of health, prosperity, and luck, which our friends in Southern California could certainly use right now. The Disney Parks Blog just released the latest
Foodie Guide for Lunar New Year where you will find all the limited-time offerings. The Garlic Noodles from Longevity Noodle Co. are always at the top of my list!
If you have any more questions in your planning, you know where to find us here at
planDisney.
Magic awaits,
Tara
