Finished making all my dinning reservations Yippy! Was able to reserve all my favorites! I have just one question......is it possible to link a debit card to my magic band to pay for meals at restaurants instead of a credit card? See ya real soon.........

Hey there Valerie! Welcome back to planDisney. You were able to grab a reservation for all of your favorite restaurants -- that's pretty impressive! That means you're already covered in Pixie Dust! You didn’t leave out Yak & Yeti, did you? It’s my favorite restaurant in the parks! Food is the most important part of any Walt Disney World Resort Vacation.

Yes Valerie, if you are staying in a Disney Resort hotel you are able to link a debit card to your resort room reservation. This will allow you to charge meals and other purchases to your room using your MagicBand

One thing to note: a $100 authorization hold will be placed on your card, similar to using your debit card to fill up at a gas station pump. Fellow panelist Mandy gave me some insight into how this has worked for her in the past. Each day that she uses her MagicBand, she receives a $100 charge that is eventually released by her financial institution when the charges clear.

If you need assistance linking your debit card to your MagicBand, check out this answer from previous panelist Allyn: How to link a card to your account

I hope this helps, Valerie. Soon you’ll be immersed in the magic of Walt Disney World!

    Until Next Time,
