We just finished our 5-day hopper passes (and a 3-day hopper) and are home now, but we decided on the way home last night to convert to Magic Key. Are we still able to use our passes and apply them to the magic key? Passes were used Jan 19-25. thanks!!!

Hi there, Glenice! It sounds like you and your family had the most magical time visiting the Happiest Place on Earth! It's always fun to start dreaming about the next Disneyland Resort vacation while you're on your way home!

I'm so excited to hear that you're interested in becoming Magic Key Holders. I just became one myself and it is so special holding my very own key to the kingdom! Upgrades can be made on active tickets on or before the last day of use. The tickets for your January trip would not eligible at this point, but don't let that discourage you from your path to becoming key holders!

It sounds like you already have another trip in the works! If you purchase a single-day or multi-day ticket and decide you would like to upgrade on your next visit, it can all be done easily within the Disneyland Mobile App or at the Main Entrance Ticket Booth. You may want to wait until the last day of your trip to make the upgrade, however, as theme park reservations do not transfer between tickets. In other words, you would release your reservations and be subject to the current day-of availability. The great news is that as soon as you make that upgrade, all of the discounts, special experiences, merchandise, and menu items open up to you! I actually upgraded while I was in line at WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure and immediately used my discount to place a Mobile Order for lunch from Flo's V8 Cafe - nothing beats that view of Radiator Springs!

While I know this may be a tight turnaround, February is Magic Key Holder Celebration Month! There is so much pixie dust lined up from one-of-a-kind photo ops with Peter Pan's Shadow and Steamboat Willie to limited-edition giveaways to special merchandise just for key holders. Year-round, you will have access to the Magic Key Terrace - a unique hideaway with views of Disney California Adventure Park and signature cocktails inspired by the park's history! One of my favorite perks is the custom Magic Key embroidery offered for spirit jerseys and Mickey ears so you can wear your key! I also love that I feel every bit a part of the magic even when I am back home in Philly. Anytime I need my Disney dose, I just pop into the the Magic Key Portal and there are always some fun extras and surprises waiting for me.

While I know this may not be the answer you were hoping for, I hope it helped open the door to a future Magic Key experience! If you have any other questions, feel free to come see us again at planDisney! We are always here for you.

    Keep wishing on those stars,
