Hey howdy hey, Hannah, and welcome to planDisney! You must be so excited to be planning your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth in just a few short months - isn't the countdown so much fun? I enjoy the planning process so much, and firmly believe that purposeful planning can lead to more magical moments during your vacation.
Hannah, you'll be glad to know that you're welcome to head on over to
Guest Relations at a Disney Theme Park entrance, where they can verify your photo ID and grant park entry. You'll want to ensure that the name on your ID matches the name on your park tickets. Sometimes, a parent's fingerprint is used for a child's park entry - I had to do this recently when my daughter decided to take a nap in her stroller as we entered the park! If your children need an alternative to fingerprinting as well, you can ask Guest Relations - a Cast Member let me know that your photo ID should be sufficient for that as well.
Please see
this awesome explanation of fingerprinting and biometric data that my Panelist pal,
Amy, wrote a few months ago. It'll give you lots of insight into what Disney is doing behind the scenes to keep guests' information safe and be a responsible steward of guests' privacy. I hope you'll feel reassured and secure after learning more.
Hannah, I hope you have a lovely visit to Walt Disney World Resort. My fellow Panelists and I are here and always happy to help guests like you with your vacation plans. If you need any recommendations on where to find awesome snacks, meals, or adult beverages, you have a friend in me!
See you real soon!
