Do you have to use your finger print to enter the parks or does the wrist band work instead of the finger print?

    Hiya Natasha,

Welcome to planDisney! Can you believe you will be strolling along Main Street, U.SA., in a little over a month?! I hope you are as excited as I am for you.

Thank you for your question, Natasha! At Walt Disney World Resort, fingerprint scans are used to ensure that Theme Park tickets are not transferred between Guests. So you will be asked to present your Disney Band (physical ticket card or electronic barcode) and your fingerprint for entry into the Theme Parks. If you are uncomfortable with providing your fingerprint, you can opt-out, however, and instead use a valid photo ID for verification (the name on the ID must match the name on the ticket). If you want to do this, stop at Guest Services before heading to the turnstiles and set up the alternative verification.

I hope that was helpful, Natasha! Your visit falls in the midst of the holiday season, and it is a truly special time at Walt Disney World Resort. I hope you’ve saved room in your itinerary for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! If you want any tips and tricks about visiting during the holidays or need anything else, please come back and see us.

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.

Hey Y'all! I’m Ashley and I live in Texas. My family and I love trying out the yummy snacks (DOLE Whip anyone!) and taking full advantage of our resort days. When we are not piloting the Millennium Falcon, exploring Kilimanjaro Safaris, or watching fireworks, you can find me planning our next adventure to Walt Disney World! I am so excited that you are planning a trip, and I look forward to helping you dig a little deeper and find the magic in all of the wonders of Walt Disney World Resort. Learn More About Ashley
