Thanks for stopping by planDisney, John! I'm so glad you're here! We are a group of guests with so much experience planning our own Disney vacations that we now spend our free time helping other guests plan theirs!
I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but I'm going to try to help!
My Disney Experience (MDE) is the app where you can book dining reservations, make
Lightning Lane selections, and view all your vacation plans. The app does not require any type of identification. At
Walt Disney World Resort, you generally need identification when checking in to your resort or purchasing alcoholic beverages. Of course, it's always a good idea to carry ID with you, in general.
Acceptable forms of ID at Walt Disney World include a valid state driver's license, state ID card, and US passport, among others.
Perhaps you are referring to your resort ID. This simply refers to any method to show that you are staying at a Disney resort hotel. This is required for some experiences, such as
Early Theme Park Entry,
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, or using transportation from
Disney Springs. This could be your
MagicBand, room key, or digital room key on your MDE. This can be found by tapping the menu button (three lines) at the bottom right of your screen and opening your hotel reservation. If you need assistance with this or with linking your hotel reservation to your account, feel free to call the
Walt Disney World App and MagicBand Support number, and a Cast Member will be happy to help.
I hope you've found the information you need, John, and that your upcoming vacation is the most magical yet! If this was not what you needed or if you are looking for additional information, please feel free to
reach out to me directly or ask
planDisney. We're always happy to help!
Always Dreaming -
