Hi Mayank! Welcome to planDisney.
It is only a matter of days before you make a splashing arrival to the Sunshine State at
Walt Disney World Resort. Many love visiting Florida in the fall and winter due to its mainly mild temperatures year round. However, when those occasional cold snaps happen,
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park may close. This recently did happen in November when temperatures dipped into the 50-degree mark. So please note while it is rare, it may occur.
Fun fact, all of the
Disney Resort Collection hotel main pools and the water at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park and
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park (currently closed for refurbishment), are heated to a comfortable 81 degrees. So, if the pool facilities are open and you can take the milder air temperatures, there is nothing stopping you from taking on
Summit Plummet.
To celebrate the holiday season, throughout this month at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, you can meet
Santa Clause dressed in tropical attire. Indulge in holiday treats like an Orange Bird Santa Cone or a Peppermint Milkshake. You may even encounter some "snow" along the way.
Keeping it Magical,
Cindy
