Hi, Sharon! Welcome to planDisney!
One of my favorite parts of planning a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is deciding where to eat. There are so many amazing
dining options throughout the theme parks,
resort hotels, and
Disney Springs that it's sometimes hard to narrow down our dining wish list. I think you've made a great choice in deciding to dine at
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. Its nostalgic theming, delicious comfort food, and heavenly desserts make this dining location a fan favorite!
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is a rather small restaurant with a limited number of tables. For this reason as well as its popularity, it can be difficult to book this coveted dining reservation. I've found that the dining reservation system can sometimes be a bit glitchy. Often it will only show reservations for even numbers of Guests. In other words, it is showing you the maximum number of people that can be seated at that table.
If you wish to dine at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop with a party of three, you're essentially going to need a table for four to accommodate your party. So if you see a reservation for four Guests, I recommend that you go ahead and book that reservation. You can always use your
My Disney Experience mobile app to modify the number of Guests on your reservation down to three after booking. Even if you forget to modify the number of Guests, no worries. You won't be penalized if your reservation was for four people and you arrive with only three.
If you're unable to secure a reservation for three or four Guests, I recommend trying to make two separate reservations for two people at similar times. Then when you arrive for your reservations, you can let the Cast Members know that your parties are together. There's no guarantee that you'll be able to be seated together, but the Cast Members will do their best to try to accommodate you.
While Beaches & Cream Soda Shop serves amazing burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, and more, the real star of the show here is the dessert menu! If you and your group are feeling up to a challenge, order the Kitchen Sink. If you'd prefer a treat that's on a somewhat smaller scale, I recommend the No Way José sundae. It's my personal favorite!
If by some chance you're unable to secure a reservation at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, they do offer a to-go menu of ice cream and beverages. You can order at the takeaway window and enjoy your treats outside, overlooking
Stormalong Bay.
Sharon, I'm wishing you lots of luck with booking your dining reservations! If there's anything else that you need help with as you get ready for your trip, please visit us at planDisney again.
See ya real soon!
