When our family was deciding whether DVC was right for us, the flexibility was one of the most appealing parts of Membership. While our Home Resort,
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, has my heart, we love to experience new resorts - and with enough Vacation Points (and a little bit of timing-related pixie dust), you can do just that!
Kristina, as a DVC Member in the know, you clearly know your way around a
Waitlist. This is a great option if the resort, accommodations, or dates you are hoping to book aren't available. You can set up a Waitlist that's active up to either 31 days or 7 days before your check-in date and receive a notification if your desired reservation opens up. Members' plans change all the time, so it never hurts to try! You can have up to two active Waitlist requests per Use Year.
To find your Waitlist requests, log onto the Member website and select "My DVC" from the options at the top of the screen. Click "My Dashboard" from the drop-down to access your Member Dashboard. Here you can see any active bookings and Waitlist requests, as well as a breakdown of your available
Vacation Points for several years. The dashboard also contains links to make dues payments, and other helpful resources and tools.
