    Can I find Vegan, Gluten-Free meals for my wife? Can gluten-free dishes be customized to be served without meat?

    Hi, there!

     Welcome to planDisney, Robert. It looks like you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort next week! That is super exciting.

     One of my favorite things to do on a Disney vacation is EAT. I think you'll find lots of delicious and safe options for your wife during your upcoming stay! In fact, the Walt Disney World Resort is committed to offering a wide variety of options for Guests with food allergies and special dietary requests.

     At Table-Service dining locations, be sure to let your Server know about your wife's dietary restrictions. If your wife would be more comfortable speaking with a chef or special diets trained Cast Member, she'll certainly have that opportunity!

     The mobile ordering process at Quick-Service dining locations is now even easier than ever. At select Quick-Service dining locations that offer mobile ordering on the My Disney Experience mobile app, Guests can now view Plant-Based and Allergy-Friendly menus. In some instances, menu items can be modified, but if you find that you can't modify a Plant-Based or Allergy-Friendly menu item enough to meet your wife's needs, not to worry! You two can chat with a chef or special diets trained Cast Member at the restaurant before placing an order. 

     If you have other questions or concerns about your wife's dietary needs, I encourage you to email the Special Diets Team at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com before your arrival. You can bet this team can help you navigate the dining process! I also recommend doing a quick Google search for vegan, gluten-free dining options at the Walt Disney World Resort. You'll find lots of unofficial guides written by Guests that you may find helpful. 

     I have one last tip for you! My most favorite menu item in all of Walt Disney World Resort is the Indian-Style Bread Service at Sanaa. I'm pleased to report that this must-order appetizer is available as a vegan, gluten-free option! YUM.
