Hi Gina!
I'm thrilled to hEAR you'll be cruising on the
Disney Dream. We will be doing the same in a few days, so I will take good notes for you! Captain Jack’s trusty compass has pointed you in the right direction by bringing you to our merry band of pirates here at planDisney.
For your 3-night sailing, there will be an optional dress-up night, a
Pirate Night, and one cruise casual night. In recent weeks, the Pirate Night has been a bit more scaled back than in the past. But you will still see your servers getting in the swashbuckling spirit during rotational dining that evening. And although there isn’t a Pirates in the Caribbean deck party, there WILL be fireworks at sea, a hallmark of Disney Cruise Line.
Keep in mind that onboard entertainment is always subject to change, so things can get tweaked even up until the day you depart. So the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will be your assistant in letting you know all this information once you are onboard. You can even favorite the activities, movies, and shows that most appeal to you, and the app will send you a reminder shortly before it starts so you don’t miss a thing!
So I would suggest packing something dressy, something cruise casual, and something pirate-y. I like to pack a cocktail dress, an island-inspired outfit, and some buccaneer accessories like an eyepatch or bandana. But you won’t even have to bring a bandana from home since they will be left in your
stateroom for you the night before your Pirate Night is planned.
Raise the Jolly Roger if we can help you make more cruise plans between now and the date you set sail. Happy to be your first mate!
Fair Winds and Following Seas,
Sherry
