Welcome, Oliver!
It’s so wonderful to connect with you here, thanks for bringing a thoughtful question our way as you prepare for your exciting Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
Super Zoom is a fun shot from Disney’s PhotoPass Service and is essentially a burst of photos that are stitched together as a dynamic video of you and your greater surroundings. The file shared with you in the My Disney Experience App or Memory Maker product is a short video file. You don’t have to worry about these being taken when you’re not ready; as cool as they appear in the final product, the preparation is nearly the same as a traditional PhotoPass moment.
Super Zoom shots are currently offered at all four theme parks:
- Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom Park – in the grassy area near the fountains, on the side near The Plaza Restaurant
- Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – near Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo
- Everest Riverside Theater at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park
- Spaceship Earth at EPCOT
At those locations, look for a PhotoPass photographer (easy to spot in their new green gear) and please ask if they have the Super Zoom available. If not, they will direct you to a nearby colleague set up for this capture. The photographer will tell you exactly where to stand and where to look – the special cameras are often perched up high in a unique location, so you’ll need specific instructions. When complete, the photographer will connect with your Disney account information and the image will appear in your My Disney Experience App shortly.
A MagicBand is not required to connect this image (or any photo taken by Disney’s PhotoPass Service) to your account, Oliver. There are several ways you can connect:
- Photographer can scan your MagicBand or MagicBand+, if available
- Photographer can give you a physical card with a code on it. You can then scan this card or manually enter the card number in the My Disney Experience App under Photos > Link Photos
- You can display a PhotoPass Code from your My Disney Experience App under Photos > Link Photos for the photographer to scan
- Photographer can scan your Key to the World Card, a plastic card that acts as your theme park ticket
- Photographer can scan your MagicMobile Pass on a smartwatch
If you like Super Zoom, you’re going to LOVE the brand-new Disney PhotoPass Video Memories!
