Where do I find shore excursions and activities to sign up for before my reservation window opens so I am ready ahead of time. I am on the Disney magic departing from Galveston on Dec 23, 2024.

    Hello, Janice!

Thank you for stopping by planDisney. I am happy to answer your question about one of my favorite features on the Disney Cruise Line - Port Adventures (also known as shore excursions)! Whether it is snorkeling through the beautiful ocean, touring the history of different ports, or shopping in local stores, there are Port Adventures for almost every interest.

You can find information about Port Adventures on the Port Adventures page and scroll down to "Port Adventures by Destination." Since it looks like you are sailing on the Disney Magic with stops in George Town and Cozumel, select "Caribbean Port Adventures." At the top of the Caribbean Port Adventures page, choose "Ports of Call" and pick Cozumel and/or George Town. I find it easier to look at one port at a time so I can focus on what I want to do in each port. On this page, you can also narrow your search results by type of experience, activity level, accessibility, and price range.

Information about Onboard Activities can also be found on the Disney Cruise Line website. Visit the Onboard Activities page and choose "Disney Magic" from the "Ships" drop-down menu. Many Guests (including myself!) enjoy the Beverage Tastings when sailing on a Disney Cruise. My spouse and I also had a delicious brunch at Palo Steakhouse (an adult-only restaurant) on the Disney Wish last year, and my kids felt like royalty during their makeovers at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

Keep in mind that not all experiences are available on every cruise, but these resources will show you what options might be offered. I use these pages to make a list of my top three Port Adventures in each port and my top 2-3 Onboard Activities each day in case my first couple of choices are not available during my booking window.

First-time Guests can book activities 75 days before your sailing date. Some activities are popular, such as the Beverage Tastings and Palo meals, and I recommend making reservations as soon as they become available to you. If your top choices are not available, just keep checking in case of cancellations. You can also stop by the Guest Services Desk on embarkation day to see if any of your preferred activities are available.

Additionally, you can log into your MyDisney account on the Disney Cruise Line website to find information about Port Adventures and Onboard Activities for your specific cruise. Under "Already Booked" at the top of the page, select "My Reservations." Click "My Plans" to see your itinerary for each day. Select the day, and click "Add Activities." From here, you can search for activities that might interest you. This is where you will reserve your Port Adventures and Onboard Activities when your booking window opens.

Janice, enjoy your Very Merrytime Cruise aboard the Disney Magic! Please reach out to planDisney again if you have other questions!

    Happy sailing!
    Jen
