Hiya, Diane, and a very merry welcome to planDisney!
Now that summer vacation has come to an end here in Georgia, this teacher is officially in 'countdown to Christmas mode', so I'm delighted to talk
Holiday celebrations at Walt Disney World Resort with you!
If you're looking for unique Christmas celebrations, then EPCOT is definitely the place to be. Living with the Land's Glimmering Greenhouses make for a very Floridian winter wonderland, while the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will allow you to take part in holiday traditions from around the globe. From November 29 to December 30 of this year, you'll have the opportunity to hear Holiday Storytellers share their legends, indulge in festive treats, and join in on seasonal songs from all over the world. I also never skip the Santa Claus meet and greet or the Candlelight Processional. There's just something about contrasting the traditional whimsy of the season with the celebrity and choral narration of the Biblical Christmas story that truly embodies the essence of what the International Festival of the Holidays is all about.
While EPCOT is indeed home to some of my favorite magical holiday celebrations, I encourage you to not overlook the seasonal offerings found throughout Walt Disney World Resort that are often available a bit earlier than those in EPCOT (which will still be in the middle of the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival). The Disney Parks Blog helpfully
shared a list as part of their
Halfway to the Holidays celebration that I plan to use as my Holiday season bucket list. A holiday fiesta with the Three Caballeros? Count me in!
I ho-ho-hope this was helpful, Diane, and that your Christmas vacation is merry and bright! If you have any additional questions as you plan feel free to stop back by.
I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
