How do you find out which rooms are preferred and which ones are Standard?

Hi, Christine!    Each resort will vary on what is considered a preferred room vs. a standard room.  For example, at a Value Resort, the only difference will be the location, with the Preferred Rooms being closer to the food court and bus stop.   At Moderate Resorts, there are some rooms that cost more for water views.  Once you reach the Deluxe Resorts, rooms vary based on views, room types, and more.

If you have a resort in mind, let us know and we can be more specific.  Or, you can go to www.allears.net and click on Accommodations.   That site does a great job explaining rooms in detail and explains which rooms are standard and what make a room preferred.

Good luck as you select the perfect room for your family's vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
