Hi Marie!
Welcome to planDisney!
I am very excited to see that your trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth is just around the corner in the new year! I cannot wait to return next year.
Thank you for sending in this great question - we all hope our favourite rides and attractions will be operating during our visit, and this is information that you can easily find. If you are using your My Disney Experience mobile app, visit 'Park Hours' where not only will you see all the park hours for that day, for each park, but keep scrolling down and you'll see a list of attractions that are closed for refurbishment.
If you prefer to use the official website, head over to the calendar, and click on the '
Day Calendar'. You can select which parks you are interested in, and also please ensure you select 'Refurbishment'. You'll see all the parks listed, along with any attractions that will be closed that day. For your arrival day, closures at Magic Kingdom Park are Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, Liberty Square Riverboat, Walt Disney World Railroad, and Tom Sawyer Island. At Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Kali River Rapids is the only attraction currently listed as being closed. Please know that this is always subject to change, and some rides and attractions may be temporarily paused at any time.
Along with our park admission tickets, we are also required to reserve our park days with
Disney Park Passes. You can reserve one park per day, with park hopping being reintroduced from 1st January 2021 after 2pm each day. Park-to-park transport will also recommence in 2021. Park passes are limited and subject to availability so once you have linked your park admission ticket to your My Disney Experience account I recommend you make your reservations at your earliest opportunity.
You can view the current availability of Disney Park Passes here, with dates available through mid-January 2022 (subject to change).
We may need a little more considered and careful planning, but our vacations to Walt Disney World Resort can still be a magical experience. Please read this information about
Returning to a World of Magic, and
Parks and Tickets: Know Before You Go, and keep watching the
Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official updates.
Come back and visit us again to ask as many questions as you like! We are always happy to help you plan your vacation.
Sue
