Welcome to planDisney, Marlena!
Let me be the first to warn you, after you’ve participated in your first runDisney race, you’ll be coming back for more and more! I wouldn’t say that I’m the most athletic person in the world, but there’s something so special about running those magical miles throughout Walt Disney World Resort. I am more than happy to point you in the direction of how to sign up for the races.
First, you’ll want to visit the
runDisney website. There is a navy-colored banner at the top of the page, which lists the upcoming season’s race events and their respective registration and event dates. The Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend (registration: June 18) and the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend (registration: July 30) are next in line for registration dates, so mark your calendar.
I strongly recommend that you watch or listen to a recent
runDisney planDisney Podcast episode that breaks down everything that you need to know about entering and preparing for a runDisney race. After running a few runDisney races myself, there is never a set time for when registration opens but it is almost always in the morning and I always have my payment method, t-shirt size, and other information ready to go for when it’s my turn to exit the queue and register. Depending on the race, the spots can go quickly!
I hope that this helps, Marlena. If you need any additional help,
reach out to us here at planDisney. You’ve got this!
Magic always,
LeAndra
