Hi Kyle,
Thank you for visiting planDisney! It sounds like adventure is just around the riverbend for you! I’ve had the pleasure of staying at all three Disneyland Resort hotels, and I can tell you, they’re all fantastic. Each one has its own special benefits and unique theming. I'm happy to help you take the first step toward your magical vacation!
I have wonderful news:
hotel reservation dates for September are already open! Head to the Disneyland website to see which room options work best for you. You can also get assistance booking your hotel in advance by calling the Walt Disney Travel Company at (714) 956-6425, available daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. A Cast Member will be happy to help you, and I highly recommend this! They can price out multiple room options across all three hotels, and since this is a free service, it’s a great way to take the hassle out of planning. They can also help you with
booking a package to really help take the stress out of planning.
If you're still not sure which hotel to choose, here are a few thoughts to help guide your decision:
Pixar Place Hotel has undergone an incredible transformation in the last couple of years, and the change has been phenomenal. I love the Pixar artwork throughout the hotel; especially in the lobby, where it's truly a visual feast. One of the fun perks is
Pixar Putt, a unique mini-golf experience. What’s even more magical is that Bing Bong from Inside Out and Mr. G from Soul can often be found greeting guests in the lobby! Pixar Place definitely offers a lot of bang for your buck.
The Disneyland Hotel is the original resort hotel, and that alone gives it a special place in Disney history. The rooms are beautiful, and I especially love the headboards that light up with twinkling stars and Sleeping Beauty Castle. Pure magic at bedtime, especially for little ones. The hotel is just a short walk to the
Monorail, which makes it easy to access Disneyland Park. After a long day in the parks, you can wind down at
Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar the
Broken Spell lounge.
Last, but certainly not least, the grandest of them all:
The Grand Californian Hotel. The stunning grand lodge-style lobby instantly transports you to the Redwood forests of California. Its central location can’t be beat; close to
Downtown Disney, Disneyland Park, and with its own entrance into California Adventure! That alone is a huge perk for tired feet. It's also home to
Napa Rose, the finest dining experience in the entire resort. Fingers crossed that it will be open when you visit!
I hope this information helps, Kyle! You have a lot of magical planning ahead, but don’t worry—if you have more questions or want additional Disney tips, feel free to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’re always happy to add a little extra pixie dust to your planning.
Best of luck planning!
