Where can I find a portrait artist in Disney World? I'm not looking for caricatures but nice portraits in pastels or watercolors. I saw one was once in the Grand Floridian but when I called they didn't know what I was talking about. Any ideas??

    Hello, Amy,

I'm sorry to share with you the artist at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is no longer available at the resort.  However might I suggest an alternative option? Guest can now have a professional photography session with Disney Fine Art Photography and Video where you could have some beautiful portraits taken. You have an option for an hour long session or a 20 minute session. There are many options of locations and poses from traditional family shots to those have a bit of Disney magic in them.

Our own Disney Mom Erin wrote an article about her experience with having family portraits taken. If you do an internet search for Disney Fine Art Portrait Sessions by Erin Foster, you can read more about what to expect if you are curious.

If you have your heart set on a painted portrait, Etsy has many available artists who work from photos. You could take photos while at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa then hire an artist to paint those images.

I hope these options are some helpful ideas for you. If you have any further questions, please let us know.
