Hey there Annette and welcome to planDisney. The next seven weeks are going to go by so fast and then you will be hanging out with Mickey and the rest of the Fab Five.
For standard Guests staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, there is no "pool hopping." Years ago there was a lot of leniency but now the policy is that Resort hotel pools are specifically for Guests of that Resort hotel Many have gates that need a Key to the World Card or
MagicBand to open. There is one exception. If your hotel is clustered with other hotels or share a pool area then it is usually not an issue. For example, Disney's All-Star Resorts are clustered together and there is an allowance to experience all the pools in the area. However, they may be more strict during your visit.
If you are a
Disney Vacation Club owner then Alternative Pool Use (Pool Hopping) has been allowed in the past but is currently suspended. Check the
Complimentary Alternative Pool Use page for updates on which pools are available with this perk.
planDisney Pro Tip: Most Resort hotels have more than one pool. You may find it more relaxing to be at one of the smaller pools over the feature pool.
Annette, regardless of which pool you choose to dip your feet into, you will have a splashtastic time. Please feel free to stop by again and
write me back directly for more Disney vacation planning tips.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
