Is there any way to find out about planned closures of Disneyland attractions for next year? I'd hate to get to Disneyland and find out one of our favorite rides was undergoing planned maintenance.

    Welcome, Pamela!

Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so excited you are eagerly planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth.

Attraction refurbishments are always bittersweet. While it can be sad to miss your favorite attractions during your trip, it does mean that they will be back better than ever for your safety and enjoyment. You can always check the Daily Events Schedule online to look for entertainment schedules, park hours, and which attractions may be closed due to scheduled maintenance. These are typically updated six weeks in advance online.

Some attractions may not have their refurbishment schedules posted yet, but we can guess based on previous years when they may be closed. For example, Haunted Mansion tends to close before Halloween Time in preparation for its transformation into Haunted Mansion Holiday. Similarly, "it's a small world" Holiday is being refurbished usually right before the start of the Christmas season. We also tend to see more attractions refurbished during the winter months when crowds are lower.

I hope this helps, and please return if you have any other questions about planning your practically perfect vacation!
