Welcome Home, Monte, and welcome to planDisney! It's always a good idea to have a plan in mind for your next Disney adventure, and thanks to your membership in the coolest club around - otherwise known as
Disney Vacation Club - it's easy to do. Let's get down to business and chat about your options.
When we joined DVC over a decade ago, what really sealed the deal for us was the ability use our
Vacation Points in lots of different ways, rather than being locked into a single resort or time of the year. For starters, you can book a stay at any
Disney Vacation Club resort in the United States. This includes the resorts in Florida, South Carolina, California, or Hawaii! Since you're looking at a November vacation, availability may be limited, but it's always worth seeing what your options are.
If you have not logged into the Member website before, start by calling
Member Services to get your login information. Then, you'll be able to search for accommodations using the "Plan Vacation" section of the site.
Monte, you can also exchange your points to stay at any
Disney Collection hotel, both in the US and abroad. This opens up lots of different options for a stateside vacation! We've used this option before when our daughters' dance team competed at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex so that we could stay at a hotel closer to the action.
If you're interested in staying at a non-Disney property, you can also exchange your points for vacations with
Interval International. Interval stays also involve a points exchange, and this opens up a whole new world of possibilities for a vacation this fall!
For any exchange, including Disney Collection and Interval, contact Member Services. The Cast Members will handle the exchange transaction and can assist with booking your reservation. Keep in mind that exchanges carry a one-time, non-refundable fee (currently $95, subject to change).
I hope this information is just what you need to get started planning a practically perfect trip, Monte! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, and please
come back anytime if we can help with vacation planning questions or any DVC details.
Stay Magical!
