Where do I find my placeholder?

Hi there, Kyle! Welcome to planDisney!

I’m so excited that you’ve reserved a Placeholder Reservation for your next Disney cruise! I’ll tell you what, Kyle: the only thing that can get me to disembark a Disney cruise without tears is knowing that I have that lovely Placeholder Reservation in my back pocket! It helps me and my family look forward to coming back, and we really do start planning our next one merely hours after we’ve disembarked from the original one! I would be happy to share where you can find your Placeholder Reservation so that you can also begin planning your next Disney cruise adventure!

You can find your Placeholder Reservation in two places: either in your email or on the Disney Cruise Line website. I usually find it in my email under the subject line “Enchantment awaits.",  and oh boy, when I find it, it really does feel like enchantment is awaiting me so that I can begin planning my next cruise! On the Disney Cruise Line website, you can find your Placeholder Reservation under the “Already Booked” tab. Navigate down to “My Reservations”. On the reservation page, click the reservation numbers that you have and scroll down to “Future Placeholders”. Your Placeholder Reservation will be there waiting for you.

When you’re ready to reassign your Placeholder Reservation to a sailing date, you have a couple of options. If you click “view,” you can manage the reservation on the website. You also have the option to call Disney Cruise Line to reserve a sailing date. Let the Cast Member know that you would like to use a Placeholder Reservation, and they would be happy to make the reservation for you. However, if you have transferred the Placeholder Reservation to a travel agent, they will need to manage it and make the reservation for you.

One thing remains true, however, no matter which way you assign a future cruise date to your Placeholder Reservation: you will still be receiving a discount on your cruise between 10%-25% depending on the sailing date, and the $250 you used to purchase the Placeholder Reservation on board will automatically go towards your cruise deposit. It’s seriously the best way to save money on your next Disney cruise! After making the reservation, input it into the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, and let that magical cruise countdown officially begin!

Kyle, I hope I guided you towards that Placeholder Reservation so that you can begin planning your next Disney cruise, my friend. I hope you just had the most magical sailing and that your next one also brings you splendid memories! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any other questions.
