It’s a small world after all, Melody, and I’m so glad you found your way to planDisney! I’d love to help you start planning your magical getaway to
the Happiest Place on Earth next year!
Normally at this time of year, theme-park and hotel reservations would be available through the end of 2021. Unfortunately, at this time, new ticket sales and hotel reservations
are temporarily paused. So, I recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and
Disneyland.com for the latest updates and information. This is the best way to be the first to know when ticket sales and hotel reservations will resume!
When that happens, I recommend looking into purchasing a
Vacation Package. It’s the perfect way to build your dream vacation while taking your group’s preferences and budget into consideration. You can choose between a Disneyland Resort Hotel Vacation Package, which includes a stay at
one of the three hotels on property, or a Good Neighbor Hotel Vacation Package, which includes a stay at
a Disney-approved hotel close to the Resort. I’ve been fortunate to stay at each of the on-property hotels, and love the unique personalities of each location.
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa offers the most convenient theme-park access, with an exclusive entrance into
Disney California Adventure Park. This makes for an easy midday pool break, especially during the warmer summer months. The
Disneyland Hotel is also a favorite in my family thanks to the classic Disney nostalgia, the awesome monorail waterslides, and
Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar. Last but not least,
Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel is a budget-friendly, beach-themed option with a great rooftop pool and views of Disney California Adventure Park.
As for
Character Dining, you simply can’t go wrong with Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park at the
Plaza Inn in
Disneyland Park! This hearty breakfast buffet is the only Character Dining experience offered within the theme parks. Reservations are highly recommended, and once the parks reopen, will likely be made up to 60 days before your visit. Of course, this is subject to change, since we don’t know exactly which reservations and experiences will be available when the parks reopen.
I hope this information helps as you start planning your epic Disney adventures for 2021! Check out

Best wishes for a magical year ahead, Melody!
