Hi Jeremy, and welcome to planDisney! I have always kept detailed records of my Disney World purchases, from pins and merchandise to meals and hotel stays. It helps me set a budget for each of my future trips to The Most Magical Place on Earth, and I like to review my spending to ensure my receipts match my credit card statement when it comes in. If you're looking to crunch the numbers like me, there are a few resources available to you that can help you achieve this goal.
I almost always get an email with my hotel folio receipt after checking out, but I didn't get one on my most recent trip in February. I contacted the
Help Center via email and asked if they could forward me the PDF, and I received it the next day. To request a similar document for your stay, head to the Help Center on the Disney World website and choose the
email option. After signing in, choose "Hotel Reservations" from the Category drop-down list, and "My Hotel Bill and Folio" from the Subcategory drop-down list. Include information that will help the Cast Member find your reservation, like the dates and location of your stay, and they may be able to forward your receipt to you. I'm not sure how far into the past they are able to pull receipts from, but it's worth a try if you're seeking a bill from a specific trip.
What's nice about these folio documents is that they will include itemized charges you made to your room during your vacation. I can see where I purchased pins, what meals I enjoyed, and how many Mickey Premium Ice Cream bars I treated myself to over the course of my trip. I also have a folder in my email inbox where I put all of my communications related to Disney vacations. All of my past dining reservations,
Merchandise Mobile Checkout receipts, and Lost & Found requests are there for future reference. Comb through your email to see if you have lingering receipts from past purchases, and consider starting your own folder for future receipts.
I hope this helps you gather information from your past trips, Jeremy! Please visit us again if you have more questions.
Stay magical,
Scott
