Hi Erin!
December is my favorite month to visit Walt Disney World! The holiday season with Mickey is like no other, especially when you see all of the beautiful holiday decorations at every turn.
The official
Walt Disney World park hours for December have not yet been released. Currently, the park hours calendar only goes until September, so it might be a couple more months until you'll see December as an option to view. You can get a sense of what the park hours might be if you do a Google search for last year's park hours on unofficial blog websites, but do know that the park hours for 2019 won't be exactly the same.
Since you're visiting in December, you'll be right in the middle of
Christmastime at Disney! One of my favorite special events at Walt Disney World is
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom Park. There is nothing more magical than seeing snow on Main Street U.S.A.! My kids love the cookie treats and hot cocoa as well as dancing the night away with some of their favorite characters. Be sure to experience the Jingle Jungle Cruise whether you attend the party or not. It's a great holiday twist on a classic attraction!
A fun holiday activity is to visit the Disney Resort hotels that are decorated for the season.
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is a must for us to visit to see the gorgeous life-sized gingerbread house that is built in the lobby and that is actually a gingerbread shop!
Please stop back by if you have any additional questions.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
