How can I find out the park hours for the day we’d like to go? Does staying at a Disney hotel allow for early entry?

Hi there, Cheryl, and welcome to planDisney! I'm thrilled to hear you have an upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort in just a few weeks! Have you started counting down the days, yet?

The best place to check park hours for the day(s) of your visit is the Hours & Events Calendar. This is a goldmine of helpful information as you continue to plan how you want to spend your time during your trip!

Near the top left of this page (just above the "Disneyland Park" button) is a little calendar icon that says "Change Date" next to it. You'll want to click this and select your arrival date to get the most updated information for park hours and entertainment schedules while you're in the parks.

Near the top right of this page is a toggle that says "Day View | 5-Day View." The default setting is "Day View," but you might want to switch it to the "5-Day View" if you're visiting more than one day so you can see everything in one place! You can also click the "Disney California Adventure Park" button near the top middle to also see that schedule. Keep in mind that times are subject to change, but this should be a pretty good indicator of what to expect when you visit.

It looks like you selected an arrival date of May 15 when you submitted your question here at planDisney. On that day, Disneyland Park will be open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM with a Wondrous Journeys showing at 9:30 PM. Disney California Adventure Park will be open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM that day and has two showings of World of Color - ONE at 9:00 PM and 10:15 PM. You can also see this information on the Disneyland mobile app!

As for Early Entry, you are correct! If you are staying at one of the hotels of the Disneyland Resort then you can enter 30 minutes early for whichever park you made a theme park reservation. This is a really great way to get a couple of the more popular rides in before the park even opens, and I always highly recommend utilizing this perk!

It sounds like you are going to have such a fun time visiting the Happiest Place on Earth, Cheryl. Thanks again for your questions, and please come back to see us here at planDisney if you think of any follow-ups you'd like to ask. We'd love to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
    Greg
