Welcome, Dianne! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I, for one, LOVE a list - I've been known to take a pharmacy's worth of just-in-case medicine with me, just in case! A plethora of videos and lists can be found through your favorite online search engine, and while there is no official Disney packing list, here are a few suggestions that have helped us.
In our Park bag are reusable water bottles - preferably ones that keep water cold for the best hydration! My kids love cool towels, my son likes to wear them like a cravat, and they really help in the heat. We also take a rechargeable power bank for our phones to keep things going throughout long Park days. We tend to carry lightweight rain jackets for those sudden Floridian downpours, with sunscreen and hats to cover all bases of Floridan weather! Anti-bacterial wipes are always packed, too.
I recommend bringing comfortable shoes and clothes. It can be warm and humid, and when combined with lots of walking, comfort can help make your day magical. Speaking of all that walking, if you have a little one, I highly recommend taking a stroller. We like to put little glowsticks on our stroller at nighttime to help quickly find it after parking it for a ride. You can always
rent a stroller when at the Parks, too.
You can bring all your stuff, but as my husband reminds me, it's Walt Disney World, not Timbuktu. So no worries (hakuna matata!) if you forget anything you need. All those little essentials (and many more fun non-essentials) are easily garnered at the retail locations around
Disney Resorts and Parks. Indeed, perusing Disney merchandise is one of my treasured pastimes! So my last tip is to leave a little room to take home those little trinkets you're sure to find on your adventure.
I wish you a magical time at
Walt Disney World, Dianne! If I can help in any other way before your vacation, please let me know, Louise.
