    How can I find out when the Magic Kingdom will be open for 24 hours? The first day of my Star Wars Weekends trip just happened to be the start of the Coolest Summer Ever kick-off party. Will it be on Feb 29th, like in 2012 or in May 2016? Thanks

    Hello Andrea and thanks for bringing this great question directly to me! I feel honored!

    This question makes me wish I had access to Madame Leota's crystal ball. In the past few years, Disney has been kicking the summer off with a 24 hour celebration. However, as you have noted, 2016 is leap year and the last time leap year came around Disney celebrated with a 24 hour event on the last day of February. So, when will it be? Will it even happen? It is likely that the answers to these questions will be unveiled on the Disney Parks Blog. The 2012 leap year event was announced on New Year's Eve while the last 24 hour event which kicked of the "Coolest Summer Ever" was announced on March 11, 2015. Luckily, the Disney Blog is entertaining every day, so I recommend checking it out daily to watch for any big announcements.

    If you are lucky enough to attend a 24 hour event make sure and tweet some photos with the hashtag #DisneyMP and hopefully I can catch a glimpse of you and your friends exploring the magic all night long! If I was going to make it 24 hours I would need some sort of boot camp to get ready!
