Hi Joey, and welcome to planDisney!
On behalf of my fellow panelists and my own military family, I’d like to thank you for your service to our country. I’m excited to hear you’re planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort – it’s always my first choice for some time away and family fun, and I know you’re going to have a fantastic time.
I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble finding
Military Promotional Theme Park Tickets at a local base. I’ve experienced this too, but living in the DC area means we have lots of options, and we’ve been able to make some calls and find them. If that hasn’t worked for you, and you’ve tried asking your local base ticket office if they’re able to order some for you, I would recommend reaching out to Shades of Green.
Shades of Green is the resort for military members located on Walt Disney World Resort property. They’re a nice option for accommodations, located right across from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, but they have some very nice military pixie dust, too. If you visit their website, you’ll find the steps to order military promotional tickets through email – they will need some information to verify your eligibility, you’ll provide your credit card information, and then they ship the tickets to your address. I have done this a few times before, and it’s quick, easy, and I’ve found it to be reliable.
Once you get your tickets, Joey, be sure to link them to your
My Disney Experience account so you’re able to make your
Disney Park Pass reservations. Guests must have a reservation for each day they plan to enter a Walt Disney World theme park, so it’s good to make the reservations in advance.
Thank you for stopping by with this question, and I’m sending pixie-dusted wishes that you’re able to find military theme park tickets quickly and easily. If you think of any other questions as you plan your visit to Walt Disney World, please come back and see us. It’s always a pleasure to help another military family with their Disney dreaming.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
