Hello, Sheila! Welcome to
planDisney! I see that you are planning for your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort vacation later this summer - how exciting! To ensure all guests have an enjoyable and safe visit, Walt Disney World has various rules and policies in place. Understanding those rules and policies before you arrive is a great idea.
The
General Walt Disney World Property Rules should answer most of the questions you may have. To quickly address some of the questions you might be thinking about:
- Bags, coolers, or backpacks larger than 24” long, 15” wide, and 18” high, are not allowed in theme parks or water parks.
- All guests and bags are subject to screening/security checks.
-
Outside food and nonalcoholic beverages are allowed, with certain restrictions such as no glass containers.
- Strollers that are greater than 31” wide and 52” long are prohibited. Stroller wagons are also prohibited regardless of measurements.
My family has had similar questions when planning a visit to Walt Disney World as well, especially as we travel with a child with a severe allergy. We always pack a small bag of healthy snacks that we know are safe. However, we never forget to indulge in the perfect Disney treat, like the ones you can find at
Karamell-Küche in the Germany Pavilion of
EPCOT’s World Showcase. I believe you will find Cast Members to be extremely accommodating and willing to help as much as possible. Still, having a general idea of do’s and don’ts will make your vacation a little more stress-free.
I hope you find this answer helpful, Shelia. Please feel free to come back to planDisney if you have any additional questions!
