Where can I find a list of resorts that I can use my points at that are not on Disney property?

Hi Shawna and welcome home! As Disney Vacation Club members, we have many options to use our DVC points, whether at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, or beach resorts such as Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. In addition, we can also exchange our points for a Disney Cruise, an Adventures by Disney experience, or the plethora of resorts and hotels made available through DVC’s partnership with Interval International. The options are endless!

There are two main options for exchanging DVC points for resorts and hotels outside of Disney property. First, DVC members can deposit points into Interval International for Vacation Exchanges (7 consecutive nights) and ShortStay Exchanges (stays of 1 to 6 nights), subject to availability. The Interval International Buyers’ Guide for Disney Vacation Club members contains relevant information regarding exchanging DVC points for resorts in that network. Within that guide, you will also find a list of available resorts for which DVC members can exchange using points. The guide also contains a point chart to show the number of DVC points needed based on the Interval Quality Tier of the desired resort, the travel season, length of stay, and room category.

In addition, DVC members also have the ability to do a Hotel Exchange. A Hotel Exchange requires an exchange of points (minimum of 20 points) and cash to book a stay of 1 to 28 nights, subject to availability. There is a wider list of hotels available in for this option. While there is no similar list of hotels for this option, there is an interactive tool available through the Interval International portal to search for hotels based on the city and dates of travel. To access this tool, scroll down the Interval International information page on the DVC website to where it says “Hotel Exchange” and you will find a link that reads “Search or book now!”. You may need to login to your DVC account in order to view the tool.

Similar to other exchange options made available to DVC members, the Rule of Four guidelines apply to Hotel Exchange reservations, meaning that reservations must be made prior to the last 4 months of your Use Year for stays during that Use Year. In addition, only DVC points eligible for Membership Extras may be used for a Hotel Exchange.
