Thank you for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Judy! Getting character autographs are something my kids love to do! We have an
official Disney autograph book that not only lets us gather autographs, but we add photos from our
Memory Maker to the pages to create real scrapbooks of our adventures!
It’s true that in peak times, characters will not be able to sign your books. I have found this to be true sometimes at the Bon Voyage Character Breakfast, when we were given autograph cards (though we pasted these into our books). Also, some characters are awful clumsy with pens, like
Baymax. He’s much better suited to healthcare and doling out fist bumps with jiggly motions. Jack Skellington and Sally are often so busy talking about the holidays they, too, will not sign your books. The Dwarfs are well, too sleepy, grumpy and sneezy, as you can imagine! Hopefully the characters you meet like Tinker Bell, Mickey and all the
Princesses will able to sign your items, which include nearly anything that is not on your body (they won’t sign shirts you are wearing, casts, etc, but they will sign your pillowcases, frame mats, books, hats, or loose items. I recommend bringing a fresh Sharpie that clicks open so you don’t lose the cap! It’s also very handy for pups like Pluto and Goofy that need a little extra help. There isn’t an official list of autograph signing characters, but I would say about 95% of them will sign for you!
If I can help you locate your favorite characters, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
