Ahoy there, Keiko, and welcome to planDisney! How lovely that you’re planning an Easter cruise on the
Disney Fantasy. Let’s get you all set so you know when to wear your pirate garb and your spring finest!
For the 5-Night Bahamian Cruise departing on April 18, 2025, it looks like you’ll be partying like a pirate on Monday, April 21 after your stop at
Lighthouse Point. The
Pirate Night festivities start when that themed red bandana is delivered to your stateroom and culminates with the “Pirates in the Caribbean” Deck Party and fireworks at sea (weather permitting, of course). While dressing up is not mandatory, I will say it adds to the fun, especially when you can take pictures with your favorite Disney Pals in their pirate costumes!
Speaking of dressing up, the optional dress-up night is on Saturday while you’re at sea. While many Guests take advantage of this opportunity to wear formal attire to dinner, that is completely up to you. Personally, I love being able to put on sparkles as an adult while being served a delicious dinner I didn’t have to cook (even if I do decide to start my meal with my favorite appetizer: a Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar). And because it’s rare to get my college-aged kids in formal attire when I’m around, I take advantage of the occasion to schedule a private photo session at
Shutters Photography Studio.
You’ll also find lots of fun photo spots all over the ship on both nights, so take advantage of the professional photographers on board to get in as many of the shots as you can. I even recommend
pre-booking the Unlimited Digital Package before you set sail to get the best price possible. At the very least, we always ask a fellow traveler to snap a photo of our family outside of the Royal Court before dinner, no matter what
rotational dining restaurant we’re scheduled for that night.
Keiko, I know you’ll have a fun-filled adventure on the high seas this April. Should you think of any other questions before your sailing, I hope you won’t hesitate to come back to us here at
planDisney.
Embrace the magic,
Sami
