Where can I find information on what constitutes a snack on the Disney Dining Plan? Also, I have seen information that state appetizer and dessert are included in the dining plan? The 2012 DP brochure shows only desert, which is correct? Thanks!!

    Hi Jorge!!!

We love getting the Disney Dining Plan on our Walt Disney World Vacations!!!  It is so nice to have your meals prepaid while on a Disney Vacation!!!

Some examples of snacks that can be redeemed with your snack credits are an ice cream bar, small box of popcorn, a piece of fruit, or a soft drink/bottled water.  These are just a few examples of the snacks.  If it can be considered as the main course of a meal (i.e. hot dog or hamburger), then it is not classified as a snack.  There are some more examples of snacks at the bottom of the flyer in the link that I noted at the beginning of this answer.

The 2012 Disney Dining Plan does include a dessert (lunch and dinner only) at Table Service Meals, but not an appetizer.  The appetizer option was taken away a few years ago.  Also please keep in mind that gratuity also isn't included in your dining plan.

    Have a magical day!!

    Scott
