Where can I find information on available onboard activities, such as wine tastings, for my cruise on the Disney Dream, Aug. 29, 2022?

Ahoy there, Heather! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited that you are making plans for a whirlwind adventure aboard the Disney Dream this August! The Dream was the first ship my wife and I sailed on together, and while the itineraries are shorter, that just means you get to pack more into each magical day. There's no time to spare, so let's get going, shall we?

When it comes to activities, there are few vacations that even come close to a Disney Cruise Line vacation! You could fill an entire itinerary with just what's included as part of your cruise! But when it comes to magical experiences that are just a bit extra, there's a shipload available on every sailing!

You can find overviews of onboard activities on the Disney Cruise Line website, including a full list of potential beverage tastings! Now, until your booking window opens, these overviews just give you a sense of what possibilities exist across the fleet. Like with Port Adventures, you can read descriptions to get an idea of what each activity includes, any age restrictions, and other general information to help you build your short list!

Specific availability and the option to book these activities will be activated after your booking window opens. Remember, these booking windows open at differing times before your embarkation date, and are based on your Castaway Club status:
    • Guests staying in Concierge staterooms can make requests 125 Days prior to sailing
    • Platinum Castaway Club Members can reserve activities 120 days prior to sailing
    • Gold Castaway Club Members can reserve 105 days prior to sailing
    • Silver Castaway Club Members can reserve 90 days prior to sailing
    • and First-time cruisers are at 75 days prior to sailing!
We're still a few weeks away from even the Concierge level booking window opening, so there's definitely plenty of time to decide which activities you'll target when your booking window opens! For what it's worth, my wife and I still talk about the great times we've had at beverage tastings, specifically - exploring new beverages really fills us with the spirit of adventure, both literally and figuratively!

Well Heather, I hope that helps clear things up a bit, and gives you a few waypoints to sail to as you continue planning for your August vacation! Thank you so much for sailing my way with your question, and if any others appear on your map, you know where to find me here at planDisney!

    Fair winds and following seas!
