Hi Gretchen,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. Spending Mother’s Day at Walt Disney World sounds like pure, pixie-dusted perfection. I’m adding it to my Disney bucket list!
Disney Springs has announced their
lineup of Mother’s Day dining events, including special brunches at two of my favorites, Paddlefish and Raglan Road. I think the ganache lollipop at The Ganachery sounds wonderful! I would keep an eye on their web page, as I’m sure it will be updated as we get closer to the day.
The Mother’s Day offerings at Walt Disney World have not been announced yet, and my guess is we will start to see some news in the coming weeks. The
Disney Parks Blog will be the place where dining and activities are announced, so stay tuned. If you’re staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel for Mother’s Day, be sure to ask about Mother’s Day events at the front desk when you check in, and look out for signs posted around the resort advertising any special activities. Last year there were special brunches offered at Boma - Flavors of Africa, Cape May Café, The Wave, Captain's Grille, and Garden Grove (along with others), and there was a delicious raspberry specialty cupcake available at bakeries throughout the resort.
Gretchen, if I were planning a lovely Mother’s Day at Walt Disney World, I think I would head over to the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. A Violet Lemonade from Pineapple Promenade and a stroll through the World Showcase to take in all the gorgeous flowers and topiaries in bloom sounds just about perfect to me.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
