Ahoy there, Patricia! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney. I'm happy to hear that you have an upcoming voyage with
Disney Cruise Line to look forward to, and it's my pleasure to share all the information you need to set up
ground transportation for your June cruise.
Assuming that you are sailing out of
Port Canaveral, staying at the Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport makes for smooth sailing on embarkation day. Our family has gone this route for a couple of our previous adventures with DCL and I highly recommend it! There are great options for dining and shopping at the hotel and in the airport, and the pool at the Hyatt is a great spot to relax and watch airplanes arriving and departing. My girls have found new friends at the pool who were also sailing on our trip, so they had some built-in pals to connect with on board!
To book ground transportation, simply
call DCL and they can add this to your reservation. The current cost for ground transfers is $45 per person, each way, or $90 round-trip.
Patricia, if you do choose to stay at the Hyatt, simply let the staff know that you're sailing with DCL when you check in at the hotel. You'll attach your DCL luggage tags to your bags, and leave them in your room the next morning when you check out. Bell Services will pick the luggage up from your room and take it directly to the DCL crew, who will make sure that is transported safely to Port Canaveral. The bags will appear at your stateroom like magic!
I hope you are getting excited for your cruise - it will be here before you know it! As the trip approaches, please come back to planDisney anytime if we can help with additional questions to add a little extra pixie dust to your travels.
Bon Voyage!
Susan
