Hi! I would like to find out more info on the Princess and Pirate party. Do I have to purchase a park ticket that day? What if I don't want to do the party, do I have to leave MK that day once the party has started? Any info you have would help. Thanks

You can purchase the ticket that day, there are a set number of tickets for each party, occasionally the tickets do sell out on particular evenings, especially during peak seasons.  You can however, pre-purchase your ticket through 407-w-disney.

If you don't want to attend the party, you will have to leave the park at 7:00 p.m. when the park closes.

If you have a ticket, beginning around 4 at various locations around the Magic Kingdom, there will be Cast Members holding colored bracelets and a hand held scanners.  Have your ticket ready, and they will scan the UPC code on the ticket, and give you a bracelet.  This identifies that you have a ticket for the evening event.  Your all set.  Heather M.
