Hi, there!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Amanda. We're so glad to see you again!
My husband says the only thing I would ever willingly run towards is Cinderella Castle, so while I can't empathize with wanting more information about running for any other reason (even if it's Disney-related), I'm happy to answer your question today! Recently, "Fun Runs" have been featured at some Walt Disney World Resort hotels, offering Guests a casual, inexpensive, and FUN way to get some healthy exercise in while enjoying a magical vacation. Typically, the small registration fee (around $15) includes a medal and some type of treat (think Dole Whip!) or swag. Here's a list of the "Fun Runs" that have been offered:
- The Beignet Dash at Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter
- The Southernmost Point 3K at Disney's Old Key West Resort
- Seaside Sprint Fun Run at Disney's BoardWalk Inn
- The Derby Dash at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
- All-Stars and Icons Fun Run at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort
- The Pineapple Dash at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort
- seasonal runs at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort
These "Fun Runs" are considered recreational activities, so they aren't listed on the Walt Disney World Resort website. Most are offered on a weekly basis! For the most up-to-date information about a particular "Fun Run," I recommend you call the Resort hotel directly to speak to the front desk since the runs are subject to change. You can also find some unofficial information by Google searching "Fun Runs at Disney hotels."
I hope this was helpful, Amanda. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
Ashley
