Where do I find the hotels Disney uses in Rome?

Ahoy there - or should I say, "ciao!"- Mary Beth, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for taking a break from dreaming about the rich history and incredible sights you'll encounter as you set sail on your Mediterranean Itinerary this summer to ask your question!

My Disney Cruise Line bucket list is getting shorter, but something that's right there at the top of the list is an itinerary like the one you'll be embarking on this Summer! Sailing the Mediterranean on the beautiful Disney Magic sounds like a truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so like you, I'd be pulling out all the stops and planning on a pre-cruise stay with Disney for two reasons:

First, who doesn't love a stay at a European hotel? Heck, Walt Disney's own travels across Europe served as inspiration for Disney's Riviera Resort and it's quickly become one of the most popular Walt Disney World Resort Hotels! Second, a pre-cruise stay allows you and your party the extra relaxation time you need to say "ciao" to the stress of coordinating an intercontinental flight and embarkation on the same day from halfway across the world! As much as I love planning (they do call me "planDrew" after all...) I think I'll take the extra relaxation over proving how good my planning precision can be!

While Disney Cruise Line actually departs from the port city of Civitavecchia, your current pre- and post-cruise hotel options are conveniently located near Leonardo da Vinci Airport in Rome and can be found at the bottom of the Port of Civitavecchia destination details page! When in Rome... now, why does that sound familiar?... you can enjoy luxurious hotel accommodations around an hour or so from the port and nearby some of the city's most popular tourist sites!

To book a hotel stay before or after your Disney cruise, or to learn more about accommodations in Rome, you can contact a Disney Cruise Line crew member to discuss your options. While you're on the line, be sure to book your Ground Transportation to the port as well!

With all that settled, you'll be one step closer to your amazing itinerary, and enjoying everything that comes with a Disney Cruise Line vacation against the backdrop of some of the most beautiful sights in the Mediterranean!

Mary Beth, thank you for sailing my way and dropping me a line here at planDisney. I can't wait for you and your crew to experience all that awaits in Rome and beyond in just a few short months!

I wish you fair winds and following seas, and if you find yourself with "a Bruno in your head" at any point while finalizing your plans, just remember to close your eyes, yell "Silenzio Bruno!" and send your questions my way!

    Arrivederci!

    Andrew
