I would like to find out more about Fishing on Old Man Island at PO Riverside. CurrentlY, if you try to call WDW-FISH, the wait is over 2 hours. I want to know if advance reservations are required for the “old fashioned” fishing into the river and cost.

    Greetings, Jennifer!

Welcome to planDisney. Disney's Port Orleans Riverside is one of my favorite Walt Disney Resort hotels. The laid-back atmosphere and gorgeous gardens make this a wonderful place to relax in the magic. There is so much to see and do at this resort that you could easily spend an entire day enjoying the pools, horse-drawn carriage rides, movies under the stars, and fishing, of course.

Reservations are not required for pole fishing at Ol' Man Island. Fishing including pole rental is around $20 for a family of four. This spot is open in the early hours of the day, 7 AM to 1:45 PM. Hours and prices are subject to change, so be sure to check with a Cast Member when you arrive.

Also located on Ol' Man Island is the swimmin' hole, complete with a 95-foot waterslide. The layout of this area is phenomenal with tons of seating and plenty of space to spread out. Be sure to stop by Muddy Rivers for a refreshing cocktail or mocktail. The large deck overlooking the pool is a great hangout spot when you want to be off your feet and stay dry.

I hope that you are able to"reel" in some fun on your upcoming stay.
    We'll see ya real soon!
