Hi Juanita! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Becoming ill while on vacation is the absolute worst, and I truly wish it upon no one. Luckily, Walt Disney World Resort is very prepared to deal with every ailment from blisters due to walking to 'protein spills' to solutions for much more serious medical needs.
Should you be in a theme or water park and need attention, head to a
First Aid center. Here a registered nurse can dispense medicine, stop a nose bleed, help with any feeling of motion sickness, and so much more. There are medical beds where you can rest under their watchful care should you become overheated, and they will even happily hold on to and or refrigerate any medications you need for the day, like nebulizers or insulin. You can also find emergency sundries for purchase like medicines and sunscreen and more.
If you're in your room and need attention, please select the Front Desk button on your room phone. Available 24 hours a day, the Front Desk can provide options from bringing you soup and fresh linens to helping arrange for a doctor to make a house (hotel?) call. Walt Disney World Resort even has a long-standing friendship with a pharmacy that will make deliveries as well as an Urgent Care that will pick you up and drop you back off to your resort hotel in their complimentary shuttle.
I hope this information helped, Juanita. Don't forget to bring a copy of your insurance card with you on vacation, just in case. Stay hydrated, and i'm sure you'll have plenty of fun and won't need any of this information. But I'm glad you asked just in case.
