Hello! Where can I find a Disney planner who can help me plan for a solo day at Hollywood Studios? I am going on March 25th and this will be my first solo trip. I will be renting an ECV. I love characters and the rides! Staying at All Star Music that night

    Hiya, Marie! Welcome to planDisney!

I absolutely love Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and I’m happy to give you some recommendations to help you plan a magical day at the park! First off, I checked the Park Hours for the day of your scheduled visit, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios is set to be open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. This means that Early Entry will be from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM. Park Hours are subject to change, so it’s best practice to check again the evening before your visit.

Since you are staying at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, you do qualify for Early Entry, and I highly recommend taking advantage of that. You should aim to be at the park around 30 to 45 minutes before Early Entry. You’ll go through security and then queue at the park entrance. Guests will normally be let into the park before Early Entry begins to go and queue at the attraction of their choice before the attractions officially begin operating for the day. I suggest heading to Slinky Dog Dash first. This attraction’s standby queue often has a long wait time consistently throughout the day, and much of the queue is outside in the sun. So early morning is a great time to ride it.

After that, you have several options. You can stay in the Toy Story Land and ride Toy Story Mania! Or head into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance or Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Or, you can head down Sunset Boulevard to experience The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, which is a personal favorite of mine. And don’t miss Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway! This is an attraction dedicated to Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse and is definitely worth checking out.

For characters, some of my favourites are Edna Mode at the Edna Mode Experience located in Pixar Plaza, Olaf at Celebrity Spotlight at Echo Lake, and Disney Stars at Red Carpet Dreams on Commissary Lane which features Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. There are also several great shows at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, including The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure and Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After, which both opened in May of last year. And of course, you also have my personal favorite, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!

For dining, Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant is a great table-service option. The theming inside is so well executed, it quite literally feels like a '50s-style drive-in theater. For quick-service, Backlot Express has a good selection of options as well. If you’re looking for something quick to grab on the go, the Carrot Cake Whoopie Pie from Trolley Car Café is delicious. The Ronto Wrap from Ronto Roasters is quite popular and for good reason. It’s quite tasty! Another personal favorite of mine is the Wookiee Cookie from Backlot Express. It’s a must-get every trip.

And no Hollywood Studios visit would be complete without Fantasmic! This is quite possibly my favorite nighttime spectacular at Walt Disney World. It’s scheduled for 8:30 PM on the day of your visit. This is subject to change, so I would check again the evening before your visit just to be sure.

I hope you found this helpful and can take some of my recommendations to plan a wonderful day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s really such a special park and I’m confident that you will have a great time! If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to me or any of my friends here at planDisney, and we’ll be able to help!

    See you real soon!
