Hello Lisa! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Your grandchildren are lucky to have a grandmother invested in their education and trying to incorporate Disney into their studies. As a High School teacher, I looked into the Disney Youth Programs, but being from a Canadian school the opportunity appears unfeasible. I have recently been looking at the individual student programs for my own kids at Walt Disney World Resort and have gathered the following information.
The
Disney Youth Programs separate into 3 main categories: Performance, Education and Celebration. From a home school perspective with a group of less than 10 participants, you should focus your attention on the Education Series (specifically the Disney Youth Education Series with Individual Enrollment). From here, you can narrow your search by criteria that focus on details like interest, age and location.
If you find a Series that peaks your interest, select the "Get Started" tab to begin the step-by-step instructions for registering for the Series. The most valuable link on this page is the
FAQ for the Disney Youth Programs which answer many questions about everything beyond the Series, itself (accommodations, age requirements, what is not included, etc.). From how far I have gone in the process, booking a Youth Education Series is akin to booking a large
tour like Behind the Seeds or Beyond the Magic, but with a larger focus on educational curriculum.
If you have any additional inquiries or need assistance with booking a Disney Youth Program Series, you may contact Disney Youth Programs at (877)939-6884.
Here's hoping that you and your grandchildren get to experience a Magical and Educational Experience!
