If I find a discounted offer after booking my Disney reservation can it be applied to my existing reservation now.

Hey Howdy Hey Lyndsey and welcome to planDisney!

I am so excited to hear you have a trip booked for this December and what better way to celebrate the Holiday season than in the Most Magical Place on Earth! There will be so many special things to experience during your stay that I am sure it will be a vacation full of Magical memories. Thank you for your question about special offers, let's talk about a few options you will have.

Lyndsey, the long and short of your question is YES, you will have the option to apply any Special Offer that is released that may cover your vacation to an existing booking. There are two ways to go about this process. The first involves the My Disney Experience account which you will handle on your own.

You can try and apply a Special Offer to your vacation through your My Disney Experience account by rebooking your trip. Once you log on, go to the "My Plans, Reservation and Tickets" section and look for the option "Change/Modify Reservation" which you will click on. From there you will search for the exact date and times of your vacation and as you begin to scroll down to select your room, look for the options you can change with a bubble next to them. You should see some options such as "Room-only" or "Special Offers" which you click the appropriate one and then the system will let you know if there are still rooms available for booking. Click on the room and follow the prompts to get your trip rebooked with this Special Offer applied!

There are some instances where you follow these steps but there is wording instead of "Change/Modify Reservation" that will just give you a number to call which a Cast Member will have to help you through this process. You also do have the option to call Disney as well and have a Cast Member do this if you did not want to navigate the My Disney Experience option.

One tip I have for your going forward has to do with fireworks. Disney has been known to put on a nighttime firework show rivaled by few and for New Year's Eve, this is no exception. Keep on an eye on the details of the nighttime shows which can be seen either in Magic Kingdom or EPCOT. The parks will usually stay open longer to ring in the New Year with these special shows and are such great ways to welcome the start of a new year!

Best of luck as you continue to move forward on planning for your next trip. My fingers are crossed that you will have a discount show up for your vacation reservation to give you a little extra for snacks! Please feel free to stop back and let us know if you have any further questions, we are always happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Nick
