Where would I find Caricature's in the parks?

Hello there Lana and a very warm, Canadian welcome to you here at planDisney!

As this Panel's resident Canuck artist, I'm always eager to point folks in the direction of anything that showcases creative Cast Members at Walt Disney World Resort. There's just something extra-special about bringing home something that was crafted just for you - a personalized memento of your trip at a place whose history all began with creating art!

On my most recent vacation, I was able to spot Caricature Artists at work at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park close to the Island Mercantile shop on Discovery Island. The artist I spoke with let me know that their hours typically ranged from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, but also mentioned that their times and locations may be subject to change without prior notice. We also found Caricature art being created for guests more consistently during our Magic Kingdom Park visits, adjacent to Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe at the entrance to Liberty Square. I found that they had longer hours and tended to stay open later into the evening, with some occasional crowding any time the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade came past.

After you've made great memories having yourself artistically represented in caricature form, why not try putting pencil to paper yourself to see if any of those skills have rubbed off on you? I always like heading out to The Animation Experience at Disney's Conservation Station, for a chance to create an additional souvenir that you can say you've created yourself! There's also more opportunities for personalized art found at The Art Corner by Artistic Talent Group, located at Disney Springs; while you're there I recommend experiencing Drawn to Life Presented by Cirque du Soleil & Disney, immersing yourself in the wondrous world that they create each night for an extra added touch of Canadian creativity.

Come on back whenever you have any other questions for me - I love helping fellow Canadians dream and plan ahead for their voyages in warmer weather. Here's to your next artistic adventure out there!
