Where can I find a bus schedule? I would like to know the length of time it takes to get from various resorts to the different Kingdoms.

    Hiya, Linda! Welcome to planDisney!

I’m happy to help you with your transportation question. There are so many complimentary options for getting around Walt Disney World. Depending on your starting point and destination, you can travel by land, sea, or air, but the famous Walt Disney World bus service is likely the common option around the resort.

If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can view the schedule for buses traveling between your hotel and the theme parks on the My Disney Experience mobile app. Just tap the 3 line icon at the bottom right corner of your screen, scroll down a bit to select “Future Plans,” and tap your resort reservation. There should be an option that says “See Bus Times” and you’ll be able to see when the next theme park bus will arrive.

If you’re looking to map out your Walt Disney World adventure, the My Disney Experience mobile app will again be your best Mousketool! The map feature provides step-by-step directions for most locations around Walt Disney World, including all the resorts and theme parks. Just select the location pin icon along the bottom of your screen, choose your destination, select “Get Directions,” and enter your starting point. The map will not only provide directions and estimated travel times, but also display all your available transportation options.

For example, if I were at the Polynesian Village Resort and wanted to pop over to the Magic Kingdom, the My Disney Experience mobile app currently shows that it’s a 20-minute walk, a 21-minute monorail ride, or a 32-minute boat ride. It’s a great way to ensure you always know where you’re going when visiting the Vacation Kingdom.

Linda, I hope this info helps with your trip planning. I’m sure you’ll be an expert Walt Disney World navigator in no time at all! Come right back to planDisney if you have any other questions. Our knowledgeable panelists are here to help!

    Magical travels!
