Welcome, Maria! Celebrating the
Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort is the most magical way to enjoy the season!
If you are already planning for the
Holidays at Disney Springs, and meeting Santa Claus at Santa's Chalet, you must also do the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail. Find your favorite for a one-of-a-kind photo op with the entire family. By the way, after December 24, Santa Goofy takes over for Santa in the chalet. At Disney Springs, your family will also be able to sample delectable seasonal treats and enjoy amazing holiday-themed entertainment.
Do tour the
beautifully decorated Disney Resort hotels displaying gigantic holiday trees, life-size gingerbread houses, twinkling lights and magical holiday decorations. Doing this activity with a 6-year-old may require splitting it into two days, since doing it on the same day might be a rather ambitious undertaking. That said, try to at least visit the Disney Resort hotels on the Resort Monorail loop.
Most activities throughout the Disney Resort hotels are open to all Guests, including those not staying at that specific resort. For example, at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you might find Santa Claus in the lobby on Christmas Eve taking last-minute requests. Mickey and Minnie may make appearances donning their holiday best too. You might also see strolling carolers, hear a band playing favorite Christmas songs, or enjoy other resort-specific holiday programs.
I highly recommend booking at least one Character Dining experience at a Disney Resort hotel. Your 6-year-old will absolutely LOVE it!
Happy holidays at Walt Disney World Resort!
